Alright guys, that's sadly all I have for this round. I wanted to do a lot more, but this was my limit.

Thanks a whole bunch to everyone in this OCT, and everyone who has been reading this and cheering me on. It was a TON of fun, and a TON of experience! I've made many new friends, and finally got started in comic creation, which I've been wanting to do for way way too long. My only regret was not being able to finish this round <XD

Firewind OCT: Round 5, part 1Air filled his lungs and his chest heaved upward as he lay on the gore-strewn earth.  He convulsed as he recalled the clinging, invasive veins, and curled into himself for fear that he would awaken from this dream and they would dig through his body once more, but no such awakening came.  As his breathing continued, his muscles relaxed, and the shadow of fear passed from his mind.  For the first time in centuries, Leone opened his eyes to the world, and Asita knew their soft glow once more.  
The Eyes of Creation, that could see the workings of everything, the masterwork of his creator, surveyed the s Firewind OCT: Round 5, part 2"I just want this night to be over with already."
The echoes of Jade's wish resonated through the forlorn alleys and from the crumbled walls, but there was no force in the blackness which might answer her prayer, nor provide safety in the desolate ruins of the once great city.  The somber night wore on, heedless of her distress, and her wish was answered only by the world's indifferent silence.
Luck or providence had guided the Ricaris and humans together in time to save them from their chameleonic hunters; yet trouble had not forsaken them, nor security embraced them, as life fell away from the fallen beast and the group sought Firewind OCT: Round 5, part 3It had been a close call; an extremely close call.  If Farrell had not been trying to stay awake by the door, it was likely that none of them would have survived.  It had been a nightmare: ravening shadows in the dark, their ghastly faces illuminated by the flash of the ray blaster he'd kept in hand.  The damn thing's brain had to have been liquefied and yet it still came on.  If Phena hadn't come in and pulled him out into the hallway, he knew he would have emptied the cartridge into the first of them.  But there had been more than one.

ps. People have asked me what I did have planned as an ending to this round, and honestly, I feel funny describing it as it would not be canon. If you really really want to know, then pester me and I'll tell you <l'D
